Kakarbhitta - Kathmandu

Hi,

I am leaving Darjeeling on Thursday to go to Nepal.

Does anyone know what time to buses go from the Nepal border -Kakarbhitta to Kathmandu?

Also is it best to get a tourist night bus or hop onto the local bus?

Thanks

Hello kelly1977

Can't tell the exact time . Usually from kakarbhitta to kathmandu buses depart in fix time . You can know it after the arrival in kakarbhitta buspark. Its always best to travel in tourist buses rather than public buses. As in tourist bus feel much more comfortable than public buses and they don't usually stop in any palces to pick up others like public buses do. But i guess its hard to find tourist bus from kakarbhitta to kathmandu.

Have a safe trip!!

Hi Kelly,

The bus usually are early starting from 5 am till 6 am where in the case of night bus it starts from 1pm till 2pm.it is the longest route of bus service that runs from eastern part of Nepal.it is better that you catch a bus from the bus station .you will get comfortable seats and fair price.if you hop on in any local bus that may. Or ensure your arrival in kathmandu.so just look around and take care.
