10 days-Itinerary Help.

We will be arriving in Kathmandu on May 27th. I need help with itinerary. We are very active and love the outdoors/trekking. I would love to trek as much possible also would love to explore the culture and sights, temples everything. What would be a best way to combine both? Not interested in river water rafting. Also, what would be climate like? Rain? Also, is it possible to do it on your own without a travel agent?

My days will be May 27-June6th. (May 27 and June 6th will be travel days). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! If you had to choose between the two, which one would you rather do?

Personally I think you have some overly long days scheduled for your trek

Normally trekkers take 2 full days from Naya Pul to Ghoropani and you are squeezing this into one day + one hour

What you could do is either start your trek in Phidi and do it the other way around

Trekking

Day 1, after flying into Pokhara trek to Dhampus or Pothana

Day 2 Pothana to Ghandruk

Day 3 Ghandruk to Tadapani

Day 4 Tadapani to Ghoropani

Day 5 Up pre-dawn and trek to the top of Poon Hill for Sunrise, then back to your lodge for breakfast and either trek a long day all the way to Naya Pul for an evening bus back to Pokhara, or stay the night in Birithanti, then trek for less than one hour and catch the bus back to Pokhara arriving in time for lunch.

The only downside to the above is the long day at the end, but it’s all downhill ;-)

Then pick up your own itinerary from Pokhara

Good Luck and Happy Safe Trekking
