My significant other is a professor, and one of his graduate students is marrying a woman from Bhutan, in Bhutan this June. The poor guy's parents don't seem interested in traveling there, which may be due to the expense. In any case, we've been invited, and may be able to travel not as tourists, but as guests of prominent citizens.
As anyone interested in this forum will guess, I'm extremely excited. However, my dear SO had never heard of Bhutan, and would much rather I accompany him to China for an academic conference later in the year.
Any advice on how I can convince him that this is the trip of a lifetime is greatly appreciate.
Thank you, Nancy
