Driving from Durban to Mozambique

Can anyone provide advice regarding driving from Durban to Mozambique, Inhambane.

A group of us are thinking about driving as the flights are too expensive?

Any advice out there on the roads, and route etc.

There is a good site about driving in Moz: tourisminmozambique.com/mozambique-tourist-i…

The drive is pretty simple, go via Swaziland and perhaps try to avoid driving into Maputo (turn where the EN4 meets the EN1).

It's a long drive though, you may want to stay overnight at somewhere like Casa Lisa, or the other lodge next to it.

Roads are all now very good. Driving in Moz is hectic though, don't drive at night, many of the chapas don't have headlights, and people often walk along the highway.
