Visas / Alcohol

Hi Folks,

We are 2 Indian families with UAE (Dubai) resident visas travelling to Mauritius on Emirates airlines.

A/ Will we get visas on arrival or do we need to take visas before we travel. If on arrival, do we need to carry passport size photos/any other documents?

B/ Can we carry alcohol from Dubai to Mauritius? If yes how many bottles per passenger. Will a child occupying an airline seat also be entitled to an alcohol allowance?

C/ Is alcohol/beer cheap in Mauritius. Does it make sense carrying it from Dubai? What are the good local alcohol/beer brands of Mauritius

See here for visas:

And for alcohol:

1 litre of spirits and 2 litres of wine or bee per adult.

Wine isn't cheap in Mauritius and the quality isn't good for the price paid even in supermarkets let alone hotels.

Beer is cheapish and local brands to look our for are Phoenix and Blue Marlin .
