Help on the detail

Hi I am hoping someone can clear up my confusion over snorkelling. I have read lots of threads and am not sure whether the snorkelling from hotel will be good enough.. My friend and I want to spend a lot of time snorkeling from a hotel beach and maybe hire a boat occasionally. We don't want to have to go on a trip but we have snorkelled a lot and would be disappointed if the snorkelling off beach wasn't much.

I think Preskil beach resort sounds good for this - am I right? We are going for 2 weeks beginning of April.

Many thanks for any help

I have snorkelled off the beach in both the east and north west of the island and with no issues and seen many fishes etc.

I went on a snorkling trip from a boat at Le Meridian and found the thing disappointing as they stopped at a spot where there was a lot of coral sticking out which basically scratched you.

Hey mumble

We have been here over two weeks and brought our snorkelling gear with us. The reefs off the island are shallow and in a lot of places easy to access from the beach. We found great snorkelling at Trou aux Biches beach. It's a lovely beach and you'll see some fantastic fish.

If you want to take it further, we have just completed our PADI open water diving course here (passed yesterday) It's a whole new world.

Have fun.
