Has anyone traveled with Madagascar Tour Guide of Andry? Any feedback is much appreciated.
Hi, we are negotiating with Andry on Tsiribihina/Tsingy tour in May. After 12th of May I will be able to provide first hand experience report... Gejza
From the very first moment in the airport where Andry was present to the last moment of saying goodbye to his cousin Rina the services and assistance for us were excellent, we departed as friends ... Depending on your itinerary you can expect nice care, good communication, great hotels and excellent restaurants, selected by MTG. I would like to recommend the ¨Mad Zebu¨in Belo what is almost a Michellin quality food in the snake pit town.... really enjoyable; Simply also thanks to Andrys team my trip expectations were fulfilled and I can really recommend with full responsibility that you will enjoy your trip too...
First of all, I am advising against booking tours with a tour guide. They are not entitled by local regulations to market tours ( they are guides, not tour operators ) , so that already puts you on the other side of the fence.

Edited: 11 years agoOhh, I'm soooo sorry!
I did't notice your reply.
We were really happy with MGT after all.
Thank you so much for your reply!
And thak you so much for Andry and all the staff who attended us!
I am also thinking of booking with MTG, where did you go?
There guestbook is full of spam so i was not sure if the company still existed.
Did you plan your trip with MTG by email or by phone? How long in advance did you have to book?
Thanks for your help!

Talking about guide, the name is very basic! There are many Andry operating in Tourism. Make sure that you are talking about the same guy.
Officially, it's true that guide is not allowed to receive booking in Madagascar. Practically, travellers can contact them directly. I feel so sorry for Tour Operator but this is the way it is. Choice is yours!
To be sure Andry from MTG.

I went to Antananaribo,Morondava, Kirindy and Andasibe.
I contacted with Andry only by e-mail, usually he replayed soon.
I think first contact was less than 1month before our trip.
Hi Kawazoe0007,
We went to Madagascar about a year ago. I contacted a number of tour local tour operators in Madagascar. The reply Andry gave really stood out. From the get go he was informative and original. We did not receive a standard quote story from a shelve.
We decided to do the trip with Andry and I could not have been happier with the services from his tour company. They are very professional, timely, will help when needed. If you have any special wishes let them know. Also, they know the sites where not a lot of tours go, and they have great local guides that work with them. The Tsingy tour with Manambolo and Ole river is great. Do that one if you can. We also travelled to Ranomafana, Andasibe, Marojejy, Kirindy, Avenue de Baobabs. We plan to go back to check the north and south with them.
Enjoy your trip, Madagascar is something special. You go for the nature and the animals, you want to come back because of the people.
Don and I booked with Andry. We don't normally 'do tours' when we travel. We had a brilliant time. Andrys guides were truly excellent, kind, polite, spoke good English and really cared for us. They also, like Andry, care deeply about their country and the environment. We remain deeply and positively affected by our time with Andry and his team in May 2013. You will never regret booking a tour with him. Make contact about 3-4 weeks before you go. It's all done on email. Just make sure you have the right guy- Andry Falimanantsoa. I know you will enjoy your trip.
