try to go to the Bijagos Islands, it is beautiful, easy-going and virtually unspoilt. Amazing nature and very friendly people. You have a ferry boat which leaves from Bissau port to Bubaque island every friday and returns on sunday. You can use Bubaque island as your base to discover other islands, such as Orango (national park with hippos) or Joao Vieria (turtles). In Bubaque i'd recommend Casa Dora (http://casadora.yolasite.com/), a nice, small hotel run by a portuguese family, which makes the best grilled fish on the island. Enjoy yout trip!!!
