i am moving to Dar es salaam on sep 1st, i am from india and gettng a job offer as teacher there , do i have to take yellow fever vaccination, and pls advice on medications which i have to carry ? i am with my wife and a 2 year old son.

You definitely require a YF inoculation to enter the country.

As to the other inoculations and/or medications (malaria), best you discuss with your personal doctor or travel clinic (child's pediatrician), as it relates to your individual health histories.

You can check the USA's CDC at www.cdc.gov/travel - select Tanzania for details to discuss with the doctor/s.

Generally, for travel anywhere, visitors should be current with Tetanus (DPT), Hep A/B, Polio Booster, Thyphoid... and maybe others.

Ask the professional medical personal.
