I'm really suspect of the couple of negative comments of who have not even done business with Happy World. If they don't have a license then how are they getting into the parks? Their page states a license and everyone who has done safari with them, including my wife and I have been beyond satisfied.

Yeah it seems to me perhaps some of Joseph's rivals are trying to smear him. When I utilized his services in March 2017, all of the paperwork was in order and we had no trouble getting into the parks.

Highly recommended.

We just got back from a trip to Tanzania. We did a safari with Happy World Safaris, 5 days, 4 nights. Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We had a great time, with Tony the driver and Enock the cook.

We opted for a camping trip, not lodges. Mostly because we found lodges to be too expensive. In hindsight I am so happy we did. Even if you can afford lodges (luxury or not) I would choose camping over lodges anytime! It makes everything very intense: at night you could hear the hyena's going through the bins at the campsite. We had a visit from an elephant in the evening. Zebra's and giraffes were very close to our camp. The only thing you need to consider: you cannot leave your tent at night for safety reasons. So if you need to go in the middle of the night, it may be a bit of a problem ;-)

About Happy World: go for it. Tony is great: he knows all there is to know about the wildlife (and birds!), general information about Tanzania, he is very patient, very friendly. Enock is a good cook, and a very sweet person. We were actually all a little emotional after saying our goodbyes at the end of the trip.

Joseph is also very nice, has a very flexible attitude (we could leave our bags in his office whilst going on our trip at no extra cost).

If you go, say hi to Tony and Enock from us. Dirk, Katrien, Clara, Cato en Juul.

I have reported the Asia Africa traveler poster. I checked out his other posts in forums - all he does is make similar posts falsely stating agencies have no license or are going bankrupt.

I went on a three night, four day safari with my girlfriend with this company. We were very disappointed. Joseph did not know how to be quiet. We would film elephants, enjoying the sounds of them and nature and then Joseph would have to chime in with inane chatter like, "How many lions do you think we've seen?" As if we're children. We asked the cook on the first night if he could politely tell Joseph to essentially speak when spoken to, but nothing changed.

When we got to a camp site we noticed the tent he brought for us was much smaller than the tent for him and the cook/driver. This wouldn't have been so bad, but then he sarcastically commented to us, "Are you happy in your small tent?" And THAT wouldn't have been so bad if there wasn't a torrential downpour that evening. Guess which tent was waterproof? Right. So my girlfriend and I had to do an emergency evacuation of all our stuff - most of which got wet - to the vehicle.

On the last day Joseph forgot our lunches at the camp site after we had driven for 90 minutes. He then ordered the driver to turn around! After we protested he agreed to proceed with the drive. We preferred to go hungry rather prolong the miserable experience.

At Ngorogoro Crater Joseph falsely claimed it was one of the seven wonders of the world. After I told him that I didn't think that was true, he challenged me to prove it. That's the quality of tour guide he was.

Note this tour was in fall 2014 (just seeing this page now after researching another safari), so it's possible either Joseph has matured or he has a better colleague serve as a guide. Happy to provide photos and wire transfer payment receipt upon request.

My 2 sisters and me did a 6 days Safari with Happy World and it totally exceed our expectations! I have nothing but great things to say about the company and our guide (Ismael)!!

We did a lot of research and contact many travel agencies, but in the end we chose Happy World because we saw great recommendations online, Joseph was always very friendly and helpful and it is a Tanzanian owned company (that was important to us, since we also wanted to support the local community). We definitely made the right choice!!!

Ismael was our driver and he was great!! Very passionate about the animals and the culture, provided a lot of interesting information, made sure we always had the best angle to see the animals and even did an extra effort to find a cheetah in our last day that was very out of hand! He could spot a Lion where I could only see grass, so you know they’re doing the best job to guarantee that you see the animals.

Joseph was also great, from the first e-mail he suggested that we changed one park that I was proposing due to the season, since he believe that we would not enjoy it enough. He was one of the only companies that did that, and we extremely valued his input and had an AMAZING time seeing the elephants on the park that he suggested.

The accommodations was also a highlight. We did a mid-level safari, so stayed in tented-lodges and we loved it!!! It definitely feels that you are in the mid of the nature (you can hear the animals at night, there is no wi-fi), so its perfect. The service in these places was also very nice, plenty of good food, fireplace with popcorn at the down, etc..

I cannot say enough about our trip and highly recommend that you use Happy World Safari’s for your Tanzania trip.
