This thread is for people to post their trip report so that there is a common place for others to look through.
Sorry to have heard your troubles and not making light of it but this takes the biscuit.
< Well, two weeks later we got an e-mail saying that Customer Care only dealt with past problems, and that this was an issue with future travel >
So UAL are not willing to prevent a possible future problem but prefer to let it happen before putting attempting to put it right. Has it really come down to that?
Thanks for sharing your review and pictures, really enjoyed them. You are sure courageous going out on your own like you did.
We also flew Ethiopian last year and didn't particular like it. Actually won't do it again. When we changed in Addis on the way home, they killed a huge rat, right at my feet, as we were walking to change flight. Scared the he.. out of me. People were screaming. I honestly thought someone had gotten shot.

We just returned from a most wonderful trip to Tanzania set up by E-Trip Africa. We went to visit our daughter who is currently working in Tanzania. E-Trip did it all for us and that was the best part. The 7 day Safari was more than we could have asked for, we saw every animal that there was to see and going in November we were not sure what to expect. All of the lodging was perfect for our small group. Our guide was exceptional and so knowledgable. I highly reccomend the month of November. Since it is a low travel season, we were just about the only tourists in the area. We spent 3 days in Zanzibar that was also arranged by E-Trip and it was just a wonderful experience. Thank you to E-Trip Africa for making our journey so succesful. Someday we would like to go again.
e-Trip Africa - Rongai Route to Kilimanjaro
I summited Mount Kilimanjaro via the Rongai Route in seven days in November 2013 as part of a charity climb. The trip was amazing. Our group contacted e-Trip Africa on the advice of another group that summited June 2013. From our first contact with e-Trip Africa to our farewells from our climbing team at Marangu Gate, the entire experience was wonderful. Everyone we dealt with was professional and knowledgeable. We were uncertain at the start of the process on which route we would take and for what duration. e-Trip answered all our questions and gave us unbiased advice on the pros and cons of each route. They took the time to answer our million and one questions with patience and never once did I feel I was given a rushed answer. The climb team was superb and their professionalism helped give me the confidence that I needed to make it to the top. Climbing Kili is not for the weak of mind or body and finding the right partners are critical in my opinion. From our first meeting in Moshi with the head guide Caspar and his team I felt we were in good hands for the coming week. The food was great – there were two picky eaters in our group and neither one went away hungry from any meal. The camps were clean and orderly and the climb team made sure our experience was fun and safe. Ben Jennings worked with us before and after the climb and was a large part of us being successful. We are already talking about taking another group back in 2015 for charity, we will use e-Trip Africa again.
My trip report of my first safari with Safari Infinity, taken in June 2012. I did a second, solo, safari with them in January, and am looking for that trip report as well (I did write one, I hope!!). You won't be disappointed; Sam and Lucia work non-stop to make every clients' safari their own "trip of a life time". Lucia's attention to detail is superb!

That is not any of your business. If you are implying that I get paid for anything I do on TA, you are mistaken. If you want to employ me you most probably don't have a big enough checkbook. Why do you ask this kind of question? in the culture of my country this is a very crass and impolite question to ask someone. If you are implying that I am in the tourist or safari industry you are very mistaken, I am a computer scientist and have a firm which markets the rather sophisticated specialty software which I develop.
Just got around to write up a report on part of our trip from September -October 2013 - Tanzania. The rest of the report will be on the Rwanda forum. Thank you everyone on Tripadvisor as your tips, trip reports and suggestions were very very helpful, and makes me quite confident when planning our travels. Thanks also go to Safari Infinity and Nimrod Wilson, our driver guide for their efforts.
