US$50 for UK Passports.

Have you got your Yellow Fever Jabs? Do remember to bring it with you.

So glad we have not put you off altogher. Just take a cushion.

so let me make some amends by answering your questions.

what can you expect to see etc.,

Day 1, will be the horrid Nairobi road although towards the east it has been re tarmacced. You should see plains game around Tsavo. Zebra, Impala etc., Lots of Warthogs.

Day 2. Pray for clear weather. Kilimanjaro will have been in view all morning and you will skirt under her once into Tanzania and heading for Moshi and Arusha. Don't bank on it as she usually has more cloud than North Wales. The road is not too bad and there will be lots of birds to see from the coach windows. Colourful Flame and Jacaranda Tree line the roads. The towns of Moshi and Arusha are 'colourful'.

As you get west of Arusha you are 'into Africa' and may start sotting people and some anmals. Look out for Mt Meru on your right as the 4th highest peak in Africa. You will take a right at Makayuni and sti be on good tar. In the distance, if you are still awake the rift Valley wall will come towards you. At Mto wa Mbu you pass Lake Manyara NP and there will be Storks and Pelicans nesting in the trees as you enter the village. Then up the Rift where you can bump into elephants etc., another hour will get you close to Ngorongoro and you will have seen the green hills on the horizon.

Day 3. In the crater all Big Five live. You may not see Leopard but Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo and Lion are there to be found. You may/should also find Cheetah/Hyena and Jackals etc., Lots of Wildebeeste and Zebra plus two species of Gazele. Grants and Thompsons. Nice sunset from Sopa gardens.

Days 4-6 More of the same plus lots of Giraffe.

Then yu are retracing your steps as far as Makayuni where turning right willtake you to Tarangire. Lots of Elephants in here plus Lion etc., good chance of Leopard too.

Day 7. OMG it's that road back. Get some sleep!

NONE of this is guarenteed (except the road) but it is a fair assesment of what is possible.

How did I do?

then go home and save hard for a closer longer look. Lots of folk do.

good luck.
