Cat Cocoa catamaran ferry or Air Seychelles flight. Both are often similar in price, flight being slightly more but if you're planning on going straight to Praslin from your international flight, it works out cheaper as you don't have to add the bus or taxi to the ferry jetty. Google both for accurate prices for your day of travel.

We just did the day trip mahe to praslin to la figure and back today. Start 6am back to mahe hotel for 8pm

Price was 185 euros each with 7 degrees south travel. Highly recommended. Include all travel and food.

The boat alone to praslin will cost 110 euros each then taxi around praslin will be at least 50 euros plus travel to Victoria 50 euros. It's cheaper to do a tour than book alone. We planned to go it alone but in the end it was much cheaper and easier to do package. Recommend 7 south over masons. Masons was very large groups.

Any questions just ask.

Post #4 has some misleading information, some of it is quite wrong. Ferry to Praslin is 94 euro not 110 euro, taxi to Victoria is 50 euro God knows from where or you can just take a bus for 5 Rs of course depending from which part of Mahe you are travelling to Victoria. A car on Praslin including fuel will cost you 45 euro for the day so you can easily spend 140 euro on your own. And if we talk about 2 people car rental costs split so you pay maximum 120 euro pp. So it's clear that on your own you can be cheaper than 7 south or any other company selling trips to Praslin.

I appreciate the price of the boat was out a little but if you choose business class it's 126 euros each person return to praslin alone. If you go from the south of the island it will be close to 50 euros. Not everyone stays within 5 minutes of the ferry.

I'm not sure if the 45 euros for a car includes fuel and insurance. I doubt it but if it does then fine.

The bus is an option but not for everyone especially with cases etc.

Our trip included la figure which is another 15 euros each way pp.

I know what I would do especially as it included entrance to the beach and coco de mer etc. Again euros.

Good luck.

Hi Miki. Is there any other ferries to Praslin and La Digue other than Cat Cocos as we cannot afford it? How do the local Seychelles population travel from Mahe to Praslin and La Digue?

Hi,

Cat Cocos ferry tends to be the most affordable way to get to Praslin and La Digue. Locals use also Cat Cocos ferry but their tickets are much cheaper being residents.
