Mossies?

Hi Happy Travellers....

Am just starting to pack for our trip on Monday and have come across all my bags of mossie repellants and zappers etc. Being so used to travelling to far flung places where the main problems are avoiding the bites and stings I just need to know whether I should take repellant to Marrakech with me??

Many thanks,

Lex :-)

Hi,

You can buy it in the supermarkets here if you find you need it. I haven't come across any so far.

At this time of the year mosquitoes are not a problem. In fact at any time of the year they are an usual occurance.

I think its always wise to take insect repellant abroad.

Mosquitoes might be on holiday when you go, but other nasties may not :o)

Better safe than sorry, I suppose.

Its like taking aspirins, but never getting a headache.

Though, you never know.

Have a nice holiday

Yup I have to admit I always end up taking a medicine cabinet wherever I go. So have slipped some repellant into my suitcase but will take the chance we don't need tropical strength :-)

Cheers.

Me too,re. medicine cabinet.

My prescribed medication, i always put in my "carry on" bag.

I take a bit more than i will need. Just in case .

On the mossies.

Could be poster @ 2 meant to say "unusual occurrence".

It appears that is in the main the case.

Regards

Mick

No problems :-) I read between the lines.

Even the thought of the odd hungry mossie isn't dampening my excitement for Monday.

Bring it on I say!

All of it :-)

Good morning .

It does appear that places like Marrakech do not suffer these pests much .

However , its piece of mind taking some general insect repellent.

I too tend to buy" local remedies" on advice, when abroad.

I saw a guy last year at a hotel poolside with 2 plastic fly swatters.

He initially got some funny looks in his direction.

As it turned out, he knew something the rest of us did not.

The flies were everywhere.:o)
