Ultras crazy boys

Please can someone explain this group? Tried looking on line but just finding lots of you tube footage.

Lots of angry looking graffiti throughout the medina has me intrigued.

1. Re: Ultras crazy boys

Many football teams in Europe have such groups(Ultras)

In fact worldwide such groups exist aligned to major football teams.

Some are very violent. Some are political.

Others have influence on the clubs they follow

You can find a lot of info about them online

They Ultra Crazy Boys (UCB) follow KAC Marrakech .

My team here in Edinburgh a few years ago had 2 Morrocan players at the club

Abdessalam Benjelloun and Merouane Zemmama

And very popular they were too!!

Very gifted players.

Thanks, thought it was associated with football but the graffiti characters look very angry and menacing!

Do these gangs "control" certain areas? Saw quite a few " payments" from taxi drivers etc.

Thanks for your input clerryjungle. Was hoping some of this forums regular contributors might respond.

We have just returned from marrakech and must say, never felt unsafe once. However, I did have a verbal slanging match with some teenagers down a small alleyway on the approach to the riad......I know who came worst off! Not easily phased us wiganers!

I am only interested as like I say, we witnessed some people and taxi drivers being "asked" for money .

Hi,

The UCB are not "gangs" and they don't "control" areas. They are groups of young football fans, nothing more sinister.
