Desert tour - probably a stupid question...

This is probably a stupid question, but please indulge! I'm visiting Marrakech in March and hoping to do a desert tour out. What do people do with their holiday luggage when on the tours? Will we be able to take it with us and leave it with the guides, or will we need to take it with us out on the dromedary etc? Or should we expect to have to leave it at a hotel/riad?

Cheers!

We are a young couple and would love to go for a desert trip from Fes to Marrakech mid-February. We do not have any problem with joining other people but it seems to be difficult to join others. How reasonable it is to book the trip once in Morocco because I am finding the rates rather high - EUR 300 + per person for a private tour whilst for 4 people it goes down to EUR 150 per person.

Another reminder that information about desert trips can be found here:

stefdarm, it is probably better to book your excursion in Morocco. Being part of a tour group should not present a problem but at the expense of some reduction of flexibilty in travel arrangements.
