2 centre holidays in may 2013

We are thinking of doing 2 centre holidays in may 2013 staying

4 nights at Riu Tikida Beach Hotel in Agadir, and 3 nights ClubHotel Riu Tikida Palmeraie in marrakech.

I know thomsons does twin centre hoilday but just wanted people's opinion on this idea and hotels, and time of the year.

Thank you.

1. Re: 2 centre holidays in may 2013

We did a 2 centre holiday on our first visit to Morocco (5 nights Agadir, 2 nights Marrakech), Agadir is ok but there is not much to see there (apart from relaxing on the beach), Marrakech on the other hand has a lot more culture (and tourist sites to see).

I would say that you should go for it, try to get a visit in on Essaouira when you are travelling from Agadir to Marrakech (the coastal road is beautiful and very scenic).

May is a very pleasant time of the year to visit Morocco (see Weather Information, top right). You may wish to consider a riad in the ancient medina of Marrakech as a complete contrast to another modern hotel.

May is perfect in Marrakech and the close Atlas mountains, but I agree with number 2 opinion. Consider to stay in a Riad, is a must do in Marrakech, more relaxed than any hotel and the chance to live in the Medina for a while. It is a very nice experience.
