Hi,

I just made a coach booking on-line with CTM for a return journey from Marrakech to Essaouira. I was expecting them to e-mail me something resembling an e-ticket instead I got an e-mail back in French which when translated using Google translate reads the following:

Hello,

You have made a reservation with www.ctm.ma (CTM) and we thank you.

Please note your booking number: 39003.

This number is useful for any application possible.

Please also take note of your payment MTC: 104,677

For further information, please contact our customer relations:

Note: You can use the reservation number to edit your post at the agency boarding CTM. Verification of identity of the content of this issue is possible with information provided when booking.

Show your receipt of payment online. In this receipt, you can use the link back to the site of the CTM to edit your post.

Wishing you a pleasant journey in advance with us.

Team www.ctm.ma (CTM)

Have any of you booked CTM tickets on-line before? Is this actually my ticket? Or do I need to claim my ticket prior to boarding the coach? I am somewhat confused! Thanks

I wasn't aware that a ticket could be purchased online, certainly not with Supratours who are the other coach company offering this route.

If you haven't paid for it then I doubt that it is an actual ticket but is probably just a reservation. I will await (ith interest) a reply from an expert.

After waiting for a day, and although being another DE, I have never heard of this on-line service either. I therefore agree with John that this sounds like a reservation only. My attempts to phone CTM have so far been futile.

I too would be interested to know this. I did get as far on the CTM website once to being asked for my card details and then I backed out because I wasn't sure it would work and did not want to rely on it.

To be sure I would go to the CTM offices in case you have to collect your ticket. But I don't know about this as I have only travelled by Supratours where you have to pay 5 dirhams at a separate counter for a sticker for your suitcase to stow in the hold when you have pre-brought your ticket. I think the CTM offices work much the same way as Supratours and the buses depart from the same place as the office, which isn't far from the Supratours office.

I presume you did pay so please do let us know as this would be very useful for my next return trip.

Good luck

Hi all, as you all guessed this was a reservation only! I attended the CTM office the day before my departure to Essaouira & handed the e-mail & receipt & she printed off my tickets for me. Given that the bus wasn't even half full it was a bit of a waste of time making a reservation, I should have just got the tickets on the day. Anyway, a wonderful time was had in Essaouira visiting an Argan oil co-operative, exploring the town, listening to the sound of the waves crashing & eating a massive plate of seafood for a tenner. I fell in love with Essaouira, it was a welcome break from the madness of Marrakech & well worth the six hour round-trip.

+1 for CTM :)

It is first time I read that it is possible to do reservation on line, perfect. Many tourists were searching about this possibility but it was not possible before. So I hope it will work good and even Supratours begin with online booking. Even if you have to pick up tickets before departure so it is progress :).

Thank you for letting us know.

But can you tell me if you did input your credit card details on the CTM site or did you have to pay in cash at the office?

I'm glad that you enjoyed Essaouira, you should stay a couple of nights next time.
