Tipping tour guides

I am arranging two day tours for some students. Does anyone have any idea how much they should tip their tour guide? And do they tip that amount individually or as a group? Also - the tour company has offered to transport the students from the airport for free - how much should the driver be tipped?

others will have the best ideas, but you have to remember, that they make so little per day. when we tip, like we did (it became a race, and we didn't like that ), they may expect it. in some countries, it is not good to tip, because that creates expectations. this is a hard line to pull.

usually you tip at the end of the trip if happy with guide or driver's performance. I'd suggest the tip be collecttive handed in an envelope

Hi

Drivers and guides earn very little in Morocco, they practically live from tips. Tips are therefore very welcome. Their job is not easy and if you are happy with their service it is good to show your appreciation with a tip. Best to give it as a group. The amount is up to you. There should be no rule, everyone should give as much as he wants.

Have a great trip.

our guides and drivers were so wonderful, knowledgable, experienced and all, that we readilly tipped them. our agency says that the tips are included (top company in morocco and that is the way that they do it...and they pay the most of any agency, thus, great drivers and guides, that are happyk!!!), but we just had to , as we grew so fond of them and they made our trip in morocco so enjoyable.

I always tip tour guides; they work hard and show courtesy and patience even when clients are demanding and difficult.

I think one thing to remember about Morocco is that the person you see working is often responsible for several people who are not. Not only are you brightening the day for the individual you tipped but for their dependents as well.
