How best to spend 5 days in Marrakech?

We are going to Marrakesh on January 17th and have 5 complete days/6 nights there. We are staying in a Riad in the centre. What are the best things to do in that time? Is it worth doing a trip away from the City and if so where? Thanks a lot! We are a couple, 33 & 32, reasonably adventurous.

You don't say what interests you have and we could spend ages writing about things that you don't want to do. Have a trawl through the vast amount of information under the 'things to do' tab.

Invest a few pounds in the excellent Marrakech Encounters guide so that you have information at your finger tips, see amazon.co.uk/Marrakesh-Encounter-Lonely-Plan…

If you have a smartphone download the TripAdvisor Marrakech City Guide app before leaving the UK (an offline app, so no data usage needed in Morocco), see http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/apps-icityguides
