Anyone else read the "new" guidelines? Just posted today. They are on all the Hawaii forums.
Haven't checked other destinations yet.
I read them. Words fail me. It sounds like free-for-alls are encouraged. Moderators must be tired of arbitrating.
I think TA got hacked. None of the Hawai‘i forums have ever had a sticky before and this one's a lulu!
They are on most all the forums, even the Support and HUMTAB forums with absolutely no clarification from TA staff.
I do love that finally I have free reign to be snarky!!!Edited: 6:36 pm, December 15, 2017
No, TA was not hacked. This is real and on many of the busier forums.
This is from the Support forum. Check out post #40. It is important to read Barbara's comment there, about the sarcastic and snarky comments being allowed.
I thought it was a hack, too. Apparently not.
Thanks fishdiva! Typing the same time. Not sure I like the new guidelines at all. How do you determine the line between being sarcastic, and being down right rude? And who gets to decide when it is harassment?
As said in the first post on the support forum, it could turn into the "Wild West".
Well, I still think it's a hack - we'll see.
Sadly it's not 3 Chi's.
Sorry about that J0an!!
I read it on another forum today and thought it was a typo, with the word "not" inadvertently left out after "may" ... until I read further and realized that wasn't the case. Then I noticed it on the Maui forum as well. I guess time will tell how this will affect the forum. And I guess this thread will go to the HUMTAB forum - which I thought was a new forum until I realized that it's an acronym - what an interesting day it's been for me on TA today ;)
