From Waimea Canyon to the Beach House Restaurant

We are going to be staying in Anahola and have a day planned for Interisland helicopter tour/Waimea Canyon hiking the same day.... we are also hoping to do dinner at the Beach House that night (cause we really want to hit the south shore must-see's!)

Can anyone recommend a place where we can change/clean up into decent clothes after a day of hiking before heading to the Beach House?

Thanks a lot!! Can't wait to see beautiful Kauai in less than 3 weeks, now! :-)

I believe there are outdoor showers and changing rooms at Poipu Beach park, about 7-10 mins. drive east of the Beachhouse resturant. B-T-W the Lawai beach, in front of the Beachhouse, is one of the best snorkeling spots on the island; if you have time to squeeze that in before your sunset dinner. Call ahead (before you fly) to make reservations for your sunset dinner time... the tables go fast at this fine resturant! And the early arrivers get the best seats by the windows (doors that open). ALOHA!

Don't expect much from the changing room, though. They do have one in the rather rustic bathroom there at Poipu. THe shower isn't heated---basically used to get the salt and sand off after snorkeling. But that would be the best place that I can think of. Lawai beach also has an outdoor shower by their bathroom, but that bathroom is even more rustic (as in no doors to the one stall).

If you stop in the little town of Waimea, stop at Aunty Lilikoi's......not for a shower, but to browse her store. Everything Passion Fruit that you could ever imagine!

And across the street is the Shrimp Shack....maybe for lunch. You order at a window and sit at picnic tables to eat.
