Anini Beach house

Hi,

We are looking at this house for sept end.

Can anyone tell me if they have stayed here

http://www.vrbo.com/64009

and

serenity-rentals.com/kauai-vacation-rentals-…

we have 1 kid ( 7 yrs) and toddler ( 2 yrs) with us along with our parents.

Also, if you can suggest some other house/condo too..we prefer near to beach.

Thanks

Kris

I think the Serenty Rentals house is farther down the road and would be a better location, IMO. Nicer ocean view from the lanai. But the VRBO house looks bigger and nicer. I'm hoping one of the Anini experts chimes in since I'm not that familar with this area.

Beach front in Hanalei will more like $700/night.

Take a look at Aunt Lydia's Ohana and the Wai'oli at www.beachkauai.com

They're not oceanfront--probably a 5 min. walk to Hanalei Bay. The Upstairs and Downstairs, which are oceanfront, have some days open, but I don't see a full week. We stay at the cottage here every year.

I haven't stayed at either, but I know exactly where they are. The first one looks to be a much larger home, but the ocean view is totally blocked by the homes across the road. I do think it sets back from the road a bit with a large front yard. The web site mentions the beach access path which there is - two of them.

The second one is a smaller house further down Anini Rd past the beach park. The ocean view should be beautiful from there, but I think the house is very close to the road.

Anini Rd is a tiny two lane road that dead ends....there can be a lot of traffic though. Tough choice. I noticed Serenity Rentals only posted the rent for up to 4 people.

I hope someone who has stayed chimes in.
