Need a Hotel near HNL airport

I am looking for a nice hotel not too expensive for a 1 night layover in May 2007. We are travelling from the east coast of Canada and stopping in Vancouver for 5 hours and we will be too exhausted to fly onto the Big Island that night. Everything I have read about some of the hotels near the airport are not great.

But there has to be something not bad for a decent price. We are flying out the following day at 11:30 am.

Thanks - David Engel

Wrong island. copy and paste this into the Oahu or Honolulu forum for better results.

Good luck and happy travels!

Oahu forum may generate more response. The Airport Hotel is OK and my husband has used it twice for similar purposes.

The airport hotel is on a par with a rescue mission or homeless shelter...... it is pretty bad.... the Military uses it as a transit hotel.

It is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in... anywhere... ever.

Spend a few bucks more and take a taxi down town 15 min ride you will be so glad you did
