Shipping Items from Roatan to the US and Canada

This is a topic that has come up occasionally on the forum. For us, it changed from an abstract to a concrete problem when the security folks at the airport refused to let us carry on a Melvin Bodden sculpture in place of our carryon bag. We had to leave it with our friends at Sundancer.

Serendipity. The day after we left, our friends got this message from a neighbor in Sandy Bay. I'm not endorsing this service - we are looking into what they would charge to get our bird to Minnesota - but thought this info might be of interest to other folks on the island or visiting who look at some fo the items for sale and say "but we could never fit that into our suitcase." I believe their office is across from the airport.

Hello all,

We recently started a new service for shipping personal effects, luggage, returned goods, equipment repairs or bulky souvenirs. We ship by air to Miami, do the customs clearance process and deliver anywhere in the US or Canada. If you have been thinking of sending something and thought there was no reasonably priced way to do it, give us a call at RASXPRESS 2445-1393 / 1392. or email cs@rasxpress.com

Thanks for reading,
