Cruise Day - Snorkelling

We will be on Roatan on November 28th for the day abaoard Carnival Conquest. There are also 2 other ships docked that day. Our goal is to have a great day snorkelling, have some good food on the beach and enjoy the beach but want to avoid the crowds. It would appear that the options are either Sandy Bay or Smugglers Beach Bar & Grill. Are there any resturants on the beach at Sandy Bay, beach chairs etc? What would be the best spot for snorkelling and where should we advise the taxi to drop us off?

Is the snorkelling better at Sandy Bay than West Bay/Tabyana?

If we do go to Sandy Bay to Snorkel would we still have time to check out West Bay/Tabyana beofre heading back to the ship?

3 ships in port in November? Remind me not to be there that day. Sandy Bay would be a shorter taxi ride, if you can find one. But I find that a lot of Sandy Bay is not all that sandy....go figure. Also the reef is further from shore than along West Bay, which does have deep soft sand, and also most of the people from those ships. Smugglers would be a good compromise, good sand, decent snorkeling, good shade. Another alternative, while you have that taxi, would be to go to some spot between West Bay and West End where's there's great snorkeling, good sand, and no one on the beach except those walking between WE and WB. The reef is close to shore and maybe a little deeper than along West Bay, where it can be too shallow for snorkeling, Maybe have the taxi take you to Luna Beach. After you could probably have a meal there (I'm not sure they are open to the public) and walk either 15 minutes to get a taxi at WEst End town or 15 minutes to West Bay.
