Electrical Current

Do appliances (i.e. battery charger) that plug in, in US and Canada work in Guatemala? Is a plug adapter all that is needed or is the current different? Thanks,

Hi there: the answer to your question is: the same like in the US. No difference.

Enjoy your trip.

Hi.. The voltage is 110 (120) and the cycles are 60.. just as it is in the United States and Canada. The quality of the power is not as consistant as you might be used to. Power does "flicker" quite a bit. For the most part

the electricity is fine. Be a little bit more cautious on windy days.

We just cameback from Tikal and had no problem in using our US chargers and electrical appliances.
