Do we need wet suit for scuba diving in February

We will be scuba diving in Placencia in February, 2014. Do you know what the water temperature should be around then. Do must people use wet suits when diving?

Yes, most people use wet suits when diving. I get cold just snorkeling.

The dive shops all provide wet suits if you dont want to bring your own

I've recorded consistently 79 degrees in Feb at AC and the outer atolls. I don't use a wet suit and am perfectly comfy for hours. Most people, almost all, use wet suits, either because they have them or because the dive shop provides them at little or no cost, once you have rented the other gear. But whether or not you will "need" it is way too personal to answer objectively. As you know wearing a wet suit requires carrying more weight and causes a more rapid increase in buoyancy as you surface,
