Shack on the beach

We are planning a trip for May 2013. My sister & her hubby want to stay in a shack on the beach. Hubby & I will stay someplace else. We are too old for a shack on the beach. We are waiting until they find what they want before we book so hopefully we can be nearby (yes, I know the island is small). Other than Turtleman, are there any other suggestions. I'm trying to speed up her search. Also, how can I get more info about Turtleman? A website (LOL) or a phone number?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know anything about a Turtleman's House on Caulker.

There's one on Ambergris. Here's the link:

http://turtlemanshouse.com/

It's pretty far north. I think fairly close to Sueno del Mar, but, I'm not positive.

Thanks Jeanh. I knew I had read about it somewhere. Any suggestions on Caulker for them?

Where we stayed was AMAZING—perfect shack on the beach, could not have been simpler/better—and there were a few very nice places, just down the beach.

Ignacios Cabins, is where we stayed. Next-door and the next couple of places down, also seemed really lovely for more comfort-centric (AC, less rustic) places. Ignacio's was at the very end of the beach, so for the island it's also the most quiet area- away from all the nightlife. Still very walk-able, tho my companion and I very much enjoyed indulging in the nightlife... then "commuting" our 15min walk home, along the beach, to the quiet spot. It was heaven. My stomach is sinking a bit, wishing I could be there now as I write this. :)
