Mayan Ruins

We would like to take a few days to see the Mayan Ruins in Belize. Currently we are staying in CC for a week & decided last night to extend our trip for 3 additional days.

Do you think it would be better to stay in CC and book tours from there ... or would it be better to stay somewhere on the mainland for those additional 3 days and book tours from there?

Also, any suggestions of which ruin(s) to see or any additional tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

its up to you. you can do tours to lamanai from caulker or you can move to the mainland and do stuff there. you will loose the best part of a day doing the move. people do it either way.

Since you are extending, stay on the mainland close to site or sites you want to visit, and consider cave, river and horse trips as well.

Definitely split your trip up between the beach and inland. You can spend a few days doing marine activities, and relaxing on the beach. Inland you can do the ruins, caves, rivers, hiking, and horseback riding.

If you like CC, you'll love Cayo. Both have a laid back, rustic feel to them.

Have a fun extended trip!
