diving, flight, tours

Going to ambergris in March and have a few questions.

How much time do i need between my arrival flight into Bze and my flight to san pedro?

Do i need to make reservations in advance for diving with amigos del mar or is all of that done on the island?

Do I need to make a reservations in advance for a day trip to tikal or is that done on the island

Any help would be appreciated

You can fly directly to San Pedro from the Intl airport

Check out Tropic Air or Maya Island Air - You can usually get on a flight w/in a hour of your arrival. You can contact them online and check out thier flight schedules.

I would check out the Amigos Del Mar website and see if you can book you trip online or send emails to work out your diving plans/trips.Usually you can do all your planning on the island. However, sometimes if they don't have a enough people to take out tours can be cancled. http://amigosdive.com/

I would look into Tikal Trips - you might want to pre-bool a tour than from an operator once on the island. It will be a long day trip.... but Tikal is amazing. It will be quite pricy .... as San Pedro is about 3-4 hours from Tikal (unless you decide to fly) - I don't know of a specific operator that I can reccomend - Your hotel might be able help you arrange that trip - or send you to the "right" tour operator.

Also check with the TripAdvisor forum Katie - she might know of a tour operator to check out!

Hope that helps!

Happy Traveling!
