Where to stay

3 or 4 of us traveling to Belize in April. Early 40's, no kids, looking for great beach location, fun adult resort, close to restaurants and bars. Suggestions?

the best beach close to town is at Ramon's. Full service resort.

If you'd rather stay in a condo, the Palms is right next door and has nice units. You can still use the beach at Ramons.

Another nice beach is at Banyan Bay. Nice two bedroom condos. About 1 1/2 miles from town.

Agree with Jeanh. Check out the condo resorts as they are very convenient for a group of friends. Banyan Bay, The Palms, Xanadu, The Phoenix. The best beach is arguably the beach at Ramons, but most people there choose to swim off a dock where the waters are deeper and have less seagrass, so any of the above options would work in that case. The closest to town is probably The Phoenix, but you can walk or rent a golf cart to get back and forth from any of them. Ramons and The Palms are also very close to town.

Another vote for Ramon's! You will love the beach and the pool there. It's also close to town, so you can walk quickly to food, groceries, and nightlife.
