Belize Itinerary Feedback - Cayo/Ambergris Caye

Planning a 9 night trip with our 2 kids (11,6) in August. I am thinking of dividing up the time pretty evenly betweent the 2 places (Chaa Creek/San Pedro), 4 nights each. Make each place the base and do day trips etc. Wondering where my additional night should go between the two.

Chaa Creek is a great choice, lots to do there, 4 nights is fine, depending on what activities you want to do there or at the beach. Look at the trips CC offers and see how many nights you'll need there to do all the trips you'll want. Lots of good options for hotels and condos on San Pedro.

We just came back from Belize and stayed at Chaa Creek with the Inland Expedition package - it gives you all onsite activities free which includes horse riding and canoeing and also day trips included. We stayed 4 nights and we wished we had stayed an exra day. We stayed in San Pedro as well (Victoria House) for 6 days but after 3 days (which included great snorkelling) we were bored and wanted to go back to the jungle!
