You can get to Belize City by bus for about BZ$10, but then it's a BZ$60 taxi ride to continue to the airport.
We just took William's shuttle to and from San Ignacio. They provided a large van (older but clean). The cost was $150 USD. I was impressed with their punctuality. I saw multiple drivers at the airport with their distinctive yellow polo shirts holding signs with passenger names. We had a good experience with them (and on the trip from the airport TO San Ignacio, they also detoured via the zoo for us for a couple of hours).
Thanks for the information.
I emailed just about every company in the orangutan's list to get a quote. All of them were priced between $50-55 per person, one way. More if you want to stop somewhere like the Belize Zoo. I personally used Ron's and was satisfied/would recommend.
We used William's van service for multiple trips in our visit to Belize last week. They were super reliable, gave us a decent price, and the drivers were very knowledgeable. I really recommend them. Also, easy to communicate with...we used email even during the trip. William always answered promptly.
