Aspen Mountain, where to park for a day of skiing?

Aspen Mountain, where to park for a day of skiing? I know parking can be tough, where's the easiest place to park and get to Aspen Mountain in town? Thanks.

Valet park at Hotel Jerome then limo it to the lift? Much cheaper would be to part at Buttermilk and take the bus. Go early.

It's not bad. Downtown parking is allowed for a max of four hours using the pay-and-display meters. It's about $4 for the four hours I think? I never park that long in one place so am not certain. If you go to the slight outskirts of the downtown core that is marked residential you can park for two hours for free but then are expected to move your car and park again and so on. Parking isn't policed on Sunday so if you're there that day it will be a little trickier to find a place as people will stay put all day.

Alternatively, you can use the Rio Grande garage for all day for $15. From Main St. entering town you make a left on Mill (in front of the Jerome) and an immediate right on Rio Grande. The garage is on your right. You can then walk up to the mountain or take the Galena St. shuttle for free from upstairs at the Rio Grande plaza. There is no designated time, it just makes a loop every 8-10 minutes. For the mountain you can get dropped off in front of the Little Nell hotel next to gondola plaza.
