Cheap Car Hire Company??

I am hoping someone can recommend a good car hire company that I can pick the car up from the airport. We are looking at a Mid Size to Full Size vehicle. Can anyone recomend Dollar Rentals??

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi kei,

Dollar is a good enough company to rent from - reputable.

I just got a killer deal on a rental car thru Orbitz - Advantage Rent A Car. They are at the airport (LAX) although from what I understand, you have to call them when you get to the airport and they come pick you up & drive you to your rental car.

Anyways... my rental is a mid-size car (they were cheaper than the economy cars!). $275 USD (tax included) for 12 days Dec 15-27th with unlimited miles. I was able to waive the insurance because my credit card has that coverage, so that did save me quite a bit on the rental. I would check out orbitz, it will show you all companies that have availability for the dates & location you want with prices, and you can book the one you want. www.orbitz.com

Enter yescarhire in the search box immediately above and to the right and you'll see why they're the mob to go with.

Thank Mfj,

What A great site. The prices are amazing!! Did you find the voucher arrived in a timely manner, with information of who you were hiring the car from?

Kei

Actually, I haven't used them myself yet - will next time though. Discovered them on this site, and those who have used them speak very highly of them, and say the voucher arrived promptly. Not sure at what stage they nominate the rental company.

If you go back and search as per my previous post, I'm sure you'll find posts that answer that question.

Hope it works out ok - it should, according to previous yescarhire users.

I was orginally renting from Dollar but found a cheaper rate from deluxe rent a car out of LAX. For about $65 cheaper for an economy size car. For a week in march 07 out of LAX for a midsize it is $123.34 and for large size $156.41. Don't know what you were quoted on Dollar and if this is less.
