september queue times

Hi just wondering on how long the queues are in sep. Our dates of being at Disneyland are Sep 17 through the 21. I have two kids ages 5 and 2 and just want to try and prepare them for the waiting in line. We will try and be at the park at rope drop everyday to take adavantage of smaller crowds.

Mid Sept is usually a pretty quiet time to visit Disneyland as far as crowds go. Hours are usually shortened during the weekdays something like 10am till 8pm M-Thurs with longer hours of 8am till 12pm, Fri, Sat ,Sun. Fireworks as well as Fantasmic would only be on the weekends, Fri,Sat,Sun.

Halloweentime at Disneyland is very likely to have started by then, likely it will be Sept 13 for 2013 since thats the usual starting time each year, but no official info on that will likely be out till sometime later this month perhaps. Heres more info on Halloweentime at Disneyland from last years info to give you some idea.

Keep in mind though that mid Sept can be one of the hottest times of the year with a hot wind that can blow also. So its a good idea to keep that in mind that it can be quite hot depending on the year.

When going to disneyland in mid Sept, you just have to prepare yourself it will likely be hot for part of the day. Usually by 1pm or so it gets really hot for 3 hours or so, and then you can just visit some of the indoor activities with AirConditioning, where you can sit and relax for a while in Disneyland Park, such as..... Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, one of the Cartoons shows at the Theatre, the shows at the Golden Horseshoe,Captian EO, Innoventions, Enchanted Tiki Room. or get wet on Splash Mountain. Behind Donalds boat in Toontown, there is a nice place to sit behind the waterfall.

And, in California Adventure Park, there is the Disney Animation, Sorcerers Workshop, Turtle Talk with Crush, the Aladdin Show, Muppet 3d Vision show, Its Tough to be a Bug, as well as Grizzley River Run( to get very wet.)

I usually have a frozen water bottle to take with me, as that helps (but they do sell cold water bottles in the park), as well as if you ask at any of the counter service restaurants, they will give you a CUP of Ice Water for free
