Ticket scan for FastPass

We are going to Disneyland next week. We have a 3-day hopper and would like to make use of EE into Disneyland on Tuesday. Both parks open at 9 AM on this day. Once we are all inside Disneyland during EE hours , is it possible for only 1 person in the group to go to DCA with all our tickets to get Radiator Spring Racers Fastpass for all of us at 9 AM? Is it necessary that the tickets are also scanned for entry at DCA to be eligible to get Fastpass

A 3 day and up Parkhopper ticket includes 1 magic Morning (or early entry) use at Disneyland Park ONLY.

Unless you are staying at one of the Disney owned Hotels (or sometime an Annual Passholder) which are the only people that early entry into California Adventure Park is offered to currently.

Heres more info on Magic Morning at Disneyland which should be helpful with planning your visit.

The Fastpass availability for your Disneyland ticket is activated for the day only when its scanned for the first time that day when going through the Turnstiles to either Park. Everyone in your party must have personally already done this individually for the day you are planning on getting Fastpasses, then 1 person can take the tickets and get Fastpasses for the rest of the group.

Disneyland opens up the part of California Adventure Park to get a Raidator Spring Racer and World of Color Fastpass 30 min before regular Park opening time. The Radiator Spring Racer ride Fastpass is located near the entrance to the "its Tough to be a Bug" attraction, but the line is likely to be starting in the walkway that goes down to the Main entrance. It should be clearly marked.

Thanks for the reply.

We plan to be at Disneyland during the Early Entry hours at 8 AM and do the Fantasyland rides. I hear that Radiator Spring Races FastPass gets over within an hour or so of DCA park opening time which is 9 AM on this day. I am not sure if our whole group can move from Fantasyland to DCA entrance at 9 AM to get the fastpass since we have young kids. Will it be possible for just 1 member to go ahead and get the RSR fastpass while the rest of us follow them slowly to DCA ?

Fastpasses for Radiator Spring Racer ride do go very fast and are gone as you said within that first hour after opening usually. It would be a good idea for someone to already be in that line waiting to go into California Adventure Park at least that 30 min before regular opening time when they open up the Fastpass area for Radiator Spring Racer as there is usally a line just to get inside the Park and alot of those people will be heading straight to the Fastpass area for Radiator Spring Racer ride.

And yes, as long as all of you have already gone through the Turnstiles at either Park with your tickets for that day you are trying to get a Fastpass, 1 person can then take the tickets over to California Adventure Park to get Fastpasses there.

Depending on the people in your party, you may also want to consider something like Single Rider instead of Fastpasses, as the line is usually no more than about 30 minutes. You have to be old enough to ride, and willing to ride alone basically without other members of your party.

In the past this was not possible. The ticket much be scanned at the gate before it can be used in the FP machine. Each person must go through the gate with their ticket. It could have changed though.

Umm, I did say everyone must already have had thier tickets scanned at one of the Parks for the day BEFORE anyone else can take them to get a Fastpass, so that info is not changed.
