Parking at Disneyland

Well, we booked the flights late and as a result, no longer have the choice of our hotel in the resort area.

We now have a room at Ramada on Beach and Ball....the location is probably not the best. However, the rate compensates for it all.

Since we have a rental car and the ART does not p/u at this particular Ramada, we plan to drive and park at the Park. That's where the lower per night rate comes in to compensate for the parking fees...LOL! Either way, the money will be spent!

Does thhe Mickey & Friends parking structure still exist? If so, what is it called now? I don't seem to see this name on Disney's website. If it no longer exist, which would be the best parking lot to park in.

Thank you!

Yes, it sttill exists and the name is the same. The sign at the Ball Rd. entrance may say Theme Park parking. I know that approaching the entrance coming from Harbor on Ball there are two signs next to ezch other with one reading Theme Parks and the other reading Downtown Disney. As you are driving in the lane towards the structure there is another sign and I think that says Mickey and Friends Theme Park parking. I have walking directions from the tram station. If you don't want to ride tram (which is now somewhat of a hassle) I will post that. Have you checked to see if that Ramada has its own sbuttle and the distance it will go?

Yes, go west on Ball Road until Disneyland Drive. Make a right on Disneyland Drive, and get into the left lane as soon as possible. This is the parking structure entrance. $15 per day.

if you will give us your dates you will be here, and budget per night for a hotel, maybe we can still help you find something closer so you do not have to drive,

that ramada is 4 miles from disneyland, im sure there would be something closer. the ramada you are talking about does not have a good rating

Mauitravel, check the Sheraton Garden Grove thru getawaytoday.com. Great rate we got thru them, includes free shuttle ride to the parks and free parking. Kids under 9 eat free. Because it is the last hotel on South Harbor (across the street from Target) it is not the first hotel to get too packed with guests. Our rate was $360 for 4 nights.

Thank you all for your offer of help and information.

We looked around again and settled on the Ramada Plaza Garden Grove - better than the other we think. There's no backing out now as we have prepaid. Here's more parking questions:

For the Universal tour with Grayline - they do not p/u at our hotel.....We are resigned to driving around....... Would it be better for us to drive and park at their terminal on Manchester or drive directly to Universal?

It would be better for you to drive to Universal Studios than to spend money for all of you to take the Grayline Tour. Of course, you could check to see if ther pick up from a neighboring hotel.

It will definitely be better off economically for us to drive and park ($74 x 4 plus $20 preferred parking) = $316 versus the tickets with shuttle included of $91 x 4 = $364.

Is it a fairly easy drive? We folks here from timbuktu up north are not used to LA traffic and highways....LOL!

you should be able to get those universal studios tickets for less, you can get available current discounts for attraction tickets such as universal studios by going to mousesavers which is a good website that lists the discounts available, here is there universal studios hollywood page,
