Luck of the Irish

To cut a long story short, I was sent an Irish Luck Certificate from a friend and shortly after we won a 3 day stay at Tundra Lodge Resort and Waterpark in Green Bay and we get to watch a game also. What I would like to know is, what would you recommend we go to see in Green Bay. We are a family of 4, boy aged 4 and girl aged 6. Thanks Sue.

in summer Bay Beach but it sounds like this won't be summer (if game is included). For history sake though Bay Beach Amusement is a small scale on the water old fashioned style park with cheap rides (25 cents for toddlers, 50 cents for regular rides, $1 for the rollercoaster). The concessions are also cheap.

Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary across the street is open year round, FREE and worthwhile to check out.

Next the National Railroad Museum is a real treasure. They have events throughout the year as well to check out:

www.nationalrrmuseum.org/en-us/default.aspx (The Polar Express this year is sold out though).

Green Bay Botanical Gardens: http://www.gbbg.org/ This time of year they do the Garden of Lights.

The NEW Zoo:

Green Bay Children's Museum

We enjoyed our two night stay immensely at the Tundra Waterpark. If you have any questions on that let me know.

Also nearby is Door County so I would drive that and explore the many parks and stops along the way. www.doorcounty.com. If you're that close to Door County it really is a must do. It's a doable and easy drive around the peninsula

http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/parks/name/peninsula/ Peninsula State Park is one popular one worth perusing in addition to the others.

We haven't been to a game yet though we've visited Lambeau. Titletown Brewing is a great stop to dine at. We also enjoy concocting our own dish at Hu Hot which is a chain but a good one. Coldstone Creamery is in town and don't miss checking out Seroogy's Chocolates!

Sue, I suggest posting your questions in the Green Bay forum with a different title. I just happened to open this, wondering why someone would post in a WI forum regarding Notre Dame! Here's the link tripadvisor.com/ShowForum-g59929-i715-Green_…

When will you be going? Next fall or in the next few weeks?
