oglebay resort

Our family of four ( kids 11 and 8) are considering spending a few days in October at the Wilson Lodge in Oglebay Resort. Any thoughts on this facility? Looking for a restful break, nice rooms, fall foliage, and activites to help occupy the kids. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

I've never stayed at Wilson Lodge but have been there for conferences, banquets, etc. It's very nice.

Your children would enjoy the "Good Zoo" It was a favorite of our girls when they were that age. Admission is $6.25 for adults and $5.25 for under 12 years. There is also a planetarium at the same location. Schenk Lake in Ogelbay park has pedal boats that can be a lot of fun and there is also a very nice play ground and a mini golf course. If you're going late enough in Oct. "Boo at the Zoo" may have started (for Halloween) Check out the web site at ogelbay-resort.com.
