restaurants near Washington Convention Center

Hi, Traveling with the volleyball team for a 3 day tournament and hoping to find decent food within walking distance of the Washington Convention Center. Our hotel is the Marriott Courtyard Rosslyn in Arlington, so that area would be helpful as well. Thanks as I don't know this area and some other parents said the convention center is kind of isolated.

Walk or ride the metro one stop to Chinatown where you will have many choices. In Rosslyn take the metro to Clarendon and you will find many choices there or walk over the Key Bridge to Georgetown.

The Washington Convention Center is not isolated. It is huge, but the main entrance is at the northern edge of one of DC's most vibrant areas, Chinatown and Penn Quarter. No need to get on Metro, just walk down 7th Street NW and you will find dozens of places to eat within a few blocks.

That's funny - I'm currently hosting family of volleyball players in my vacation rental apt. - they said all their girls wanted to eat at Nando's Peri Peri (in nearby Chinatown) last night because it was the favorite restaurant of the boy band "One Direction."
