What to do at night???

We will be in town for 4 nights with our 2 teen boys. We will be busy all day with museums and monuments. I'm trying to find some things to do in the evening after dinner. Any help would be appreciated. I am looking into booking the Night Evening tour for one evening.

We will be visiting 4/14 - 4/18, staying at Hilton Garden Inn on First St. and will not have a car.

Thanks.

though you may be Rangers or Islanders fans form for CT designation, the NHL playoffs will be in swing at that time and there may or may not be Caps playoff games at home at the Verizon Center, a good venue in a great area of town for restaurants - Penn Quarter. Wizards tickets cheap, especially on resale markets.

Movie theater next to Verizon Center and Union Station.

The Nationals park is on the Navy Yard Metro and is a family-friendly venue.

Teenagers and adults usually like The Capital Steps http://www.capsteps.com/ lots of political humor, some quite edgy. and Sheer Madness at the Kennedy Center: www.kennedy-center.org/events/?event=THMAD

(you asked about the evening, but if your boys like lacrosse, there is a good afternoon game at Georgetown vs Notre Dame on 4/15 @ 1 PM)

also, check the Weekender section of the Washington Post right on Friday morning and the front may list other special events.

Try Shear Madness at the Kennedy Center. It's always great fun. And a trip to the Kennedy Center is great too! It's on the river and the terraces are open and you get great views of the Georgetown and Arlington.

Here's a link http://culturecapital.com/event.php?id=10425

and sometimes http://ticketplace.org has 1/2$ tickets too.

Thanks for all the responses. I am looking into most of them.

Georgetown sounds fun to me, but, 2 teenage boys...probably not. They hate shopping.

And they are not yet 16 so no Segway.

I am looking into the sports and Shear Madness at the Kennedy Center.
