MARC train to Camden

While visiting DC, we have tix for Orioles night game during the week so we are planning on taking the MARC train to the game but we have heard some negative things about taking the bus back to DC, anybody have any ideas for other options for transportation back to DC or any experience/comments? Thank you-

The bus is your quickest and least expensive option. I don't know what negative things you've heard about taking the bus (specifically MTA Express 701 back to Union Station), but the ridership will consist entirely of baseball fans, most of whom are local residents who will be making the connection to the Metrorail system there. I can't imagine any of them wouldn't be happy to help show you the way to a Metrorail connection or taxi once you get there. Even without finding a buddy, you shouldn't have a problem if you just follow what everyone else is doing. Wear an Orioles cap, even if it hurts!

Other options--

You could hop a cab or light rail to Penn Station in Baltimore or BWI Airport and hop the Amtrak back to Union Station ($17/person), but the trip is long and you may have a long, lonely wait for your train at that hour--which may be scarier than anything you've heard about the bus.

Or, think about spending that night in Baltimore and enjoy what Charm City has to offer the next day.

Enjoy the game!

Does the MTA bus pick up right at the ballpark and does it drop us back at Union Station? does it make other stops?

Thanks for your help-
