thrift shopping

I'm a fool for good thrift stores and vintage clothing. While on a visit to Wash. D.C. this summer are there areas I should especially visit for this kind of thing? Like Magazine St. in New Orleans...?Thanks-

There is Secondi just above Dupont Circle that comes to mind.

I bet Adams Morgan would also have a place or two, but I haven't been up there in a while.

I second "Secondi." Great place! If you can get out to the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, go to "Remix" on Mt. Vernon Ave. Down the street is a great antique place called "Five Oaks."

Also stop-by Eastern Market area on Capitol Hill.

The Sunday Flea Market at Eastern Market metro is ALWAYS fun. Close to Metro, and in a safe neighborhood.
