Are you a Senior?

Check in at Metro stores to get a Senior Smart card-saves 50% on all transportation. There is a Metro Store at the Crystal City station on upper level in the Shops at Crystal City concourse. They are only open Monday-Friday. Worth your trouble if you plan to be in town for several days and use the Metro.

Yes, that's a good idea, for disabled, also. It isn't really a 50 pct discount on all transportation, though, BTW. For buses, it is, but for metro, it's really 50 pct of the peak fare. So if you were traveling off-peak, you pay 50 pct of the peak fare for that trip, which is probably more like about 2/3 of the fare at that time for relatively short trips. It's most advantageous for long trips, or during peak hours, of course, when it is 50 pct off.

You must be 65, not "64 and 364 days".

Yes. Not sure where it would be different ages to qualify as seniors, in the U.S. it would seem to be discriminatory.
