Declaring Instant Ramen

Hello

Stupid question. But I will be flying into Washington DC in a couple of days and my carryon will be containing several packages of Instant Noodle. I am well aware of the conditions that only Instant noodle without any meat or eggs in the spice packet will be admissible. I've looked at the ingredients and I only see 'Artificial Chicken Flavor Powder' as one of the ingredients of the spice packet. I was wondering if that is OK or should I not bring it with me.

Full Spice Packet Ingredient list is as follows: Water, Artificial Chicken Flavor Powder, White Sugar, Soy sauce, Red Pepper powder, Soybean Oil, Onion Power, Chili Extract, Salt, Garlic Powder, Tapioca Starch, Yeast Extract Powder, Black Pepper Powder, Curry Powder.

Thanks a lot.

The US Customs form has a line I think it is 11b that asks if you have "food." That is food so you have to check yes.

Your packets are probably admissable but you have to declare them. It might not slow you down much to interact with Customs. Last trip I had candy, declared it, they did not even ask to see it.

But if you are worried about time, ask how important it is to you to bring the noodles.

They sell a lot of ramen noodles in the stores here in DC. I think they are on special sale at Safeway this week. I can't imagine carrying them in my luggage unless you have some very severe allergy that requires only one variety.

I will definitely declare them for sure. Time is not a big issue as I am arriving late night and I'm absolutely not in a rush to go anywhere :)

Regarding 2nd reply. yes I know theres many types but what I am bringing is limited edition Samyang 2x Spicy instant ramen. You can't find that easily in the US, but it is available here in Toronto, Canada.

And regarding 3rd reply.. Go away!
