where to eat in Alexandria - inexpensive, family friendly??

Please help - We arrived tonight in Alexandria - staying in Best Western Old Colony Inn. A wonderful hotel so far - more about it later.

Now for my question??- I researched where to eat in D.C. (The Mall, White House, etc.) but not sure about Alexandria. We have two young adults who are somewhat picky - you know, the typical pizza, chicken, sandwich, etc. type meals. Where in Alexandria &/or Old Town can we eat? Chain restaurants (i.e. O'Charleys,Applebees,Pizza Hut) are fine. Our hotel shuttle stops at 9:00 p.m. but we would not mind driving in Alexandria or surrounding area to eat.

Thanks for your help.

I think these will get you started. Near your hotel is King Street in Old Town -- major strip for restaurants.

Let me know where you ended up.
