There are many great places to stay for a week from jay peak in north to mount snow in south. Need more info or do some research at visitvt.gov. I do not live in new England but visit all the time and as a tourist can say it so be very hard to make a mistake.

Yep - More specific info would help. Jay (generally best snow) is ~4.5 hour drive from Boston. Stowe (Excellent all-around resort & town, though a little pricey, or Killington (biggest resort by far, with tons of trails, but sometimes accompanying crowds): ~3 hrs. Mt. Snow (one of the closest): ~2:45.

Stowe is one of my favorite vacation towns. The skiing is good, tho a little pricey. The town it very pretty, and has lots of other stuff to do as well.
