TR - Leaf-peeping in New England

Three years ago, the Fletches did a roadtrip to Vegas and the SW; this time it was all about the NE. And what better time to do it than in the fall to catch the amazing New England foliage? We decided to bookend the 'leaf-peeping' with time spent in the craziness of New York, and the relative tranquillity of Boston.

So grab a doughnut and a coffee or two, sit back and enjoy!

Excellent travel blogs! Bummer about the speeding ticket - and the unfortunate burger incident! But glad you enjoyed your visit nevertheless. Burlington Bay Cafe is indeed a nice little place to grab lunch or an ice cream while down by the waterfront.

Cheers!

Its too bad about the speeding ticket but also too bad you didn't venture off the main roads and explore-thats where you'll find your awesome views!

Hope you got to enjoy Breaking Bad!

Afternoon Mrs Fletch,

Sadly the local 'Dixon of Dock greens' in Woodstock do seem to have a zero caution limit on those unfortunate souls that transgress the speed limit. Unlike the UK where a speed camera would earn much more revenue and would be so much cheaper to employ, the local officers do help earn their own salaries by giving out fines. Unlike the UK where a central money pot that is raised by taxation, pays for most services, here in the US more services have to earn their own salaries....and you are now in a small way proud sponsors of one of the police persons of Woodstock salary.

So as a fellow soul from Blighty, who know earns his crust in Woodstock....thank you for your contribution!
